Passionate about contemporary art for many years, Christian Le Dorze founded the Bonisson Art Center within the Château Bonisson wine estate in early 2021 in order to be able to share his passion and make contemporary art accessible to as many people as possible. The Art Center organizes 4 temporary exhibitions per year open to the most diverse audiences. Mediations are also provided for schoolchildren and adults.
The Bonisson Art Center has set itself 3 priority missions : the support of contemporary creation, the dissemination of contemporary arts in its territory, public training.

Frac Sud - Cité de l’art contemporain’s missions are to support contemporary creation, transmission and mediation for real access to contemporary art for all. Created 40 years ago, the Frac Sud – Cité de l’art contemporain located in La Joliette, at the gates of Euroméditerranée in Marseille, leads a dual program in situ and in the region, intending to offer all audiences the possibility of discover contemporary art. It is developing an important policy of disseminating its collection regionally and beyond, and promoting contemporary creation accompanied by artists present in the region. The axes of the artistic and cultural project Making Society thus offer thematic entries for the co-construction of exhibition projects around the collection.
Present throughout the academies of Aix-Marseille and Nice and through a network of partner locations spread across the six departments of the region, it brings its expertise and supports the teams in place in their mission of coordination, mediation and transmission.

The Bonisson Art Center in Rognes in the Aix-en-Provence region requested the Frac Sud to loan works from the collection. With more than 1,400 works with more than 650 artists represented, and more than 3,500 books, editions and artist multiples, the Frac Sud - Cité de l’art contemporain, since its opening, has remained attentive through its acquisitions to the plurality of forms of artistic research.
